Hello! So some of you on Instagram have requested this recipe and I thought it’d be rude not to share because it’s just so yummy. Here’s what you’re gonna’ need:
* 3 really mushy bananas (doesn’t matter if they’re totally black – mushier the better!)
* 225g of self raising flour
* 175g of caster sugar
* 100g of softened butter
* 2 eggs
* 2 tablespoons of milk
* Some big chocolate buttons (I got the share bag of dairy milk ones!)
For the top:
* 5 tablespoons of icing sugar
* 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
* A few of the leftover buttons chopped up
How to make it:
Preheat your oven to 200*C and greaseproof paper a loaf tin.
Then all you need to do is literally put everything into a mixing bowl and give it a brilliant old stir so there’s no lumps. Pour it into the loaf tin and then add your buttons!
Bake it for 1 hour and then stick a knife or skewer in to make sure its cooked through. Leave to cool for 10 minutes or so and then make up your icing. Drizzle it on top, add your chocolate and dust a bit of icing sugar on top and voila! Easy as chips!
I hope you enjoy this recipe – of course you can add anything you like to the top or in the middle. I’ve previously used walnuts before and those dried chopped banana slices! A caramelised banana topping would be delicious too!
Tag me in your posts if you decide to make it; I’d love to see them!!!
Lots of love, Jeorgia xx
